Pet Policy
Pets Welcome Upon Approval Breed restrictions apply. A. Tenants are permitted to have a maximum of 2 common household pets, such as cats or dogs. These are domesticated animals that are traditionally kept in the home for pleasure rather than commercial purposes. This does not include reptiles (except small turtles), rabbits, mice, rats, or ferrets. Small caged animals such as birds, gerbils & hamsters, or fish in small tanks (10-gallon max) are allowed with the prior written approval of Management; such animals must be caged and are not allowed to be loose in the apartment. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES are pet snakes or spiders allowed on the premises. B. Each pet must be individually approved by Management before being brought to the premises. This includes replacement pets. The following should be submitted in order for a cat or dog to be approved by Management: 1. Evidence that the pet has been spayed or neutered and has been properly immunized and licensed (dogs only) and kept up annually. 2. The Pet must be an appropriate size and type for the apartment; no more than 20” in height at the shoulder and 30lbs in weight. Management may also refuse to approve any pet that exhibits hostile behavior or other behavior that would make it unsuitable for the property. C. The pet may not disturb other tenants by making noise, tripping or attacking them, or by any other action. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times when they are outside of the apartment. The owner of any pet that bites any person must immediately be removed from the premises. D. The apartment, common areas, and grounds must be kept free of animal odors and debris and animal-caused damages. Owners of pets must immediately clean up the feces. Any damage must be paid for promptly. E. Pets of visitors or other pets not approved by the Management are NOT allowed on the premises. No other types of pets except those allowed above will be permitted on the premises. G. Pet owners are encouraged to carry renter's insurance with $100,000 coverage for any damage to the property of others and liability for injuries caused by the pet in case the pet owner is sued.
